Biography
Jian Kang joined the University of Rochester in August 2023. He received Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. His research interests lie in data mining and machine learning, trustworthy artificial intelligence, and computational social science. His research works on related topics have been published at several major conferences and journals in data mining and artificial intelligence (e.g., ICLR, KDD, WWW, TKDE, TVCG). Jian is recognized as a Rising Star in Data Science by The University of Chicago, a Mavis Future Faculty Fellow by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and top reviewers in multiple conferences (e.g., LOG 2022, NeurIPS 2022, CIKM 2021, ICLR 2021, ICML 2020).
