InterAct
The goal of our runtime system, InterAct, is to provide efficient and
transparent object sharing among clients and servers.
The interface supports creating complex recursive data structures that can be shared across address spaces.
Once an object is created it is placed on the virtual dataspace. Clients can
then map the object by interfacing with the virtual dataspace.
A range of client-controlled (based on the kind of InterAction required for the given application) ``loose'' consistency models determine how
objects are kept coherent between producer (server) and consumer (client).
A pictorial example of how InterAct is being used in datamining.
